Poll Watchers
Election observer reporting
Poll Watchers

Keep every polling place covered — and every problem on the record.

Poll Watchers is a simple app for election observers and their coordinators. Watchers see where they are posted, check in when they arrive, and report anything unusual with a photo or a document. Coordinators see coverage and open incidents for the area they are responsible for. Everything is scoped by state, county, precinct and district, so each person sees only their own patch — nothing more, nothing less.

Works on your phone · For watchers already appointed under their own state's rules · Reports stay private to you and your coordinator

Your vote matters.

Voting is your constitutional right — Poll Watchers helps make sure it is protected.

What this app does

Four jobs, all in one place.

Report what you see

Long lines, a broken machine, someone turned away — send it from your phone in a few taps, with a photo or a document if you have one.

Know your shifts

Your polling place and shift times are waiting for you, and one tap checks you in when you arrive and out when you leave.

See every location covered

Coordinators get a clear view of which polling places have a watcher on site and which ones still need one.

Keep the record straight

Open incidents, priorities and status updates stay in one list, so a follow-up never gets lost.

How to get started

Three steps, and you are on the record.

  1. 1
    Set up your team's account

Sign up with your email — about a minute, and nothing to install. Then choose your state, county and districts, and everyone you place joins from your invitation.

  2. 2
    Place your poll watchers

Assign the people on your team to a polling place and a shift in your area. It appears in their app, and their check-ins and reports come back to you.

  3. 3
    Monitor and stay in touch

Watch check-ins and incidents come in from your area as they happen, and message any of your watchers directly while the polls are open.

What a shift looks like

An illustration of a watcher at the polls — not a recording of the app. The app starts where your appointment does: it does not replace your state's certification, training or the paperwork your county asks for, and those differ from state to state. Check your own rules first.

Simple by design

Built for a busy polling place, not for training.

  • Plain buttons and no clutter — if you can send a text message, you can use Poll Watchers.
  • Filtered to your area, so you see your own county, precinct or district instead of everything at once.
  • Two taps to report: describe it, send it, and it is on the record.
  • Works the same on your phone as on a computer, so you can use it standing in line.
  • Your coordinator sees every report you send, so nothing you spot gets lost.
